While it’s not the most characterful pad in our collection, a sofa bed in the living area offers flexible sleeping arrangements, and the Juliet balcony in the main bedroom is a nice touch too. The kitchenette is a little basic for our liking, but given the home’s stellar spot, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, offering a true taste of Malagan living.

It’s in the historic centre of the city, just a stone’s throw from the cathedral. When you’ve seen all the sights and you long to relax, you can make your way to La Malagueta beach to splash in the shallows and build sandcastles.

Set in the heart of Malaga's historic centre, you've got all the city's must-sees at your feet with a stay at this home. Take your pick from La Malagueta Beach, the Pompidou Museum, and the Plaza de Toros – it's all just a ten-minute walk from your door. While its central location is impressive, and the bustling street cafes below the apartment are handy, you can inevitably expect some street noise here. It's also worth noting that if six of you share, the last two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge. Not ideal for some, but for a bolthole this central, we think it's a keeper.

Behind the Green Shutters

This cosy apartment adorned with vibrant yellow and stone grey furnishings awaits you for a stylish city break to Malaga. Snuggle up on the sofa with your loved ones as you watch a movie on the TV, followed by tucking into a delicious homecooked meal at the circular dining table, washed down with a glass of wine. The kitchen offers direct access to the balcony, allowing you to dine alfresco or indoors – we recommend enjoying a bite out here during the evening hours as the amber glow of the sunset shines upon the building. The master bedroom provides a charming view of the surrounding Spanish architecture as well as the local streets below.

Head outside to explore the city of Malaga, filled to the brim with tasty eateries and bars that serve refreshing cocktails. There are a plethora of museums to visit here, including the Picasso Museum which houses many of his works – perfect for history buffs and art lovers. A short drive takes you to the nearby beach for an afternoon of fun on the sand, it's a fantastic spot for those lovely holiday snaps. 

Lemon Sunshine

Though this home is located in Málaga’s historic centre, there’s nothing old-fashioned about this beautifully styled apartment. Modern, bright and distinctly chic with its contemporary decor and open-plan living area, this space is the perfect summation of laid-back Spanish living. We love how much light pours in from the large skylights that give way to views of Málaga Cathedral. Cosy up on the sofa with a glass of wine and gaze up at the stunning architecture dazzling before you. 

The two bedrooms, meanwhile, ate just as stylish with their bold pops of colour and comfortable beds. Factor in the pair of luxurious bathrooms, and you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing, carefree stay in the city. 

When it comes to sightseeing nearby, you’ve got plenty from which to choose. Visit the cathedral up close (200 metres away), tour the Alcazaba de Málaga (280 metres away) and sink your toes in the sand at Playa de la Malagueta (1.9 kilometres from your door). 


Cathedral Sky

Location-wise, this apartment in the cultural Centro Histórico absolutely nails it. Not only are historical sites, restaurants and beaches all within walking distance, but you're only a quick stroll from the 15th-century Santo Domingo de Guzman Church and some of Malaga’s most famous landmarks. The Interactive Music Museum and Picasso Museum can be reached within minutes, while the golden sands of Playa la Malagueta are just a little further – about a twenty-minute walk.

When you're not out exploring, unwind from the day's adventures in your Andalusian oasis. With the floor-to-ceiling doors open and the sun shining through, it's the definition of relaxation. Although the style is a picture of modernity, you can still spot some Spanish influences in the warm peachy hues and original tiled balconies. Our favourite room has to be the open living room –  you can cosy up on the dusty rose sofa with a glass of sangria and nibble on freshly prepared tapas amongst the Rothko-inspired artwork. And as evening comes around, settle on the balcony overlooking the charming streets below.

Rothko Hues

Perched above one of Málaga's loveliest thoroughfares, this characterful apartment stretches over three floors and enjoys scenic views. At the end of the street, you can see the baroque belltower of San Juan church while sitting on your balcony with a local newspaper. 

From wood-beamed ceilings to tall French doors, this interior celebrates traditional Spanish design while remaining complementary to modern life. Wake up after a good night's sleep and head into the open-plan living space. Quality crockery is displayed above the dining table, and the spotless kitchen is well-equipped to make tortillas. 

Set back from the busy beachfront, the Centro Histórico is a charming place to roam around. The Atarazanas marketplace is a great stopping point for tacos, then the city cathedral is a must-see. Come back and climb up the stairwell to the unique wooden watchtower, accessed through the master bedroom. In this little nook, you can get a bird's eye view of Andalucía. Alternatively, the sheltered patio is a great spot to wind down at night after a soothing shower.

Princes Kept the View

If you’re in search of a top-notch location with impressive views, make your way to this apartment overlooking Málaga’s vibrant port. Occupying a privileged spot by Paseo del Parque, it’s just a ten-minute stroll to the beach, while restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. It’s worth noting there are stairs leading up to the main entrance, but once inside you’ll find the rooms are ideal for relaxing, cooking or catching up on work. Outside, the private terrace lends itself perfectly to chilled sunset drinks.

Just steps from Picasso's birthplace, the lively Plaza de la Merced, this home sits in Malaga's old city. You couldn't ask for a better location, surrounded by shops, bars and eateries, and within walking distance of all the main sights. The Malaga Cathedral and the Picasso Museum are five minutes away on foot, while Malagueta Beach is just a sixteen-minute stroll from your doorstep.

Positioned on the first floor of a historic building, this home charms from the outset. Surrounded by museums, cafes and eateries – of which there’s a Mediterranean restaurant and a very interesting diner with hanging bicycles – this beautiful home in Malaga is also only a five-minute walk away from Calle Molina Lario. This notable street is dotted with baroque landmarks and well worth a stroll through. Elsewhere, you’ll find ornate churches and coffee shops, scattered around plazas, where you can sit down and watch people go by. The beach is around a fifteen minute walk and on your way back you can swing by the Atarazanas public market to pick up supplies for dinner. 

Put together a little tapas platter in the compact kitchen and take it out onto the generous terrace. Toast to a day well spent as the last of the Mediterranean sun slips away and stay out under the Spanish night sky, making plans for the next day, until exhaustion catches up with you. Retreat to the comfortable bedrooms, but not before treating yourself to a long soak in the tub.
