An equipment locker by the gondola is included, so you can boot up when you get there.

Inside, wooden sloped ceilings create a traditional chalet feel and the brickwork fireplace in the living room adds a touch of cabin cosiness. The kitchen area is tucked away and has all the essentials for self-catering. At the top of the house, the master bedroom boasts a beautiful mountain view from a wall of glass.

On the upper floor you’ll find generous bedrooms and a bathroom, but it’s the room that opens out on the balcony that you’ll want to call your own for the duration of your stay. It not only has ample space and light, but we bet you can already see yourself standing on the balcony with a cup of coffee at sunrise. It’s also, coincidentally, the perfect location for a bit of last minute stargazing before turning in for the night. 

The area, as you’ll be able to determine from the view, is inescapably beautiful and you can admire some of the natural wonders by hiking the trails in the area. Baqueira Beret, the nearest ski lift, is just over 18 miles away and Luchon Golf Course is just under 6 miles.

Anyone who dreams of rolling out of bed, putting on their skis and hitting the slopes in a matter of minutes will be delighted by this cosy mountain home. Situated at the foot of the ski runs at the 1500m elevation mark in Baquiera, it’s right by the gondola exit – fresh mountain air has never felt so close, or skiing so effortless. Slopes aside, the views are breathtaking; when the snow is good, it truly feels like a winter wonderland. The home itself is rustic and modern in style and perfect for a small family – bunkbeds in the second bedroom might pose problems for groups of adults. And the heated ski equipment room included in the price adds that extra sprinkle of magic comfort.

Casa de Nieve

This lovely apartment is an excellent base for skiers and hikers looking for a real home from home. It can be found at the foot of the slopes of the Baqueira-Beret ski resort, in an excellent area for outdoor activities. 

The apartment is cosy and comfortable, with everything you’ll need for a break. After a day spent on the slopes, it’s wonderful to return to a home as welcoming as this. Curl up around the fireplace with a mug of cocoa, or sip a glass of red wine on the balcony while enjoying the mountain views. In the evening, whip up a comforting dish to tuck into at the dining table, and revel in the warmth of this utterly delightful home. 

The cable car is within easy reach, so it’s easy as can be to breathe in the mountain air. The skiing is fantastic but in summer there’s still plenty to keep you entertained. Lace up your hiking boots and explore the trails of the Arán Valley – this is such a beautiful part of the world.
