Quirky and charming with easy access to Cornwall's world-famous coastline, this apartment is a great pick for two couples or a family with older children. Although it's located in central Looe, it's a peaceful spot where you can press pause and enjoy a seaside getaway. 

You can see the entire beach from the enormous windows in the open-plan living area, which is decked out with zebra-print rugs and sleek, contemporary furnishings. The open-plan layout is perfectly set up for socialising with your guests, and you can cook up a delicious evening meal to share at the chic dining table. There's even a spacious balcony where you can catch the morning sun and admire the views as you enjoy your breakfast. 

From here, take a four-minute wander down to the sandy beach, to enjoy a paddle in the surf or an ice cream on the shore. Keen hikers and casual walkers alike can join the nearby South West Coast Path and admire the stunning cliffs and maritime vistas. And, if you want to visit the iconic Eden Project, you can arrive there in forty-five minutes by car.

Fishing boats and surfboards sit side by side in the harbour, just outside this home’s walls. It’s in the centre of Looe, just five minutes from the beach and a three-minute walk from the train station. A working fishing town, the immediate area is filled with restaurants and pubs serving the freshest catch of the day and there’s a town beach where soft sand slips into turquoise sea. 

The view from big, Victoriana windows is over the quayside of the East Looe River so you can watch boats putting in and out. This place may look like a grand, Victorian villa on the outside, but inside it’s pristine white and modern with vibrant pops of silky blue. An exposed stone fireplace still sits at the heart of the living room though, where French doors let the natural light stream in. Cook your own catch of the day in the ultra-modern kitchen which is big enough for several chefs to bustle around in.

The real bonus here is the private terrace, which is set with a table and chairs. Overlooking the quayside, this is the perfect spot to share a bottle of something bubbly as the sun goes down over the water.

In the evening, whip up a delicious meal in the delightful modern kitchen, hit the table football, or take a five-minute stroll across the bridge towards Looe Harbour for a wealth of pubs, bars and restaurants.

For scenic walks and established hiking paths, visit Kilminorth Woods for breathtaking flora and fauna combined with fresh sea air. 

After a long day exploring and eating, come home, collapse on the corner sofa and bask in the period features and modern comforts. Alternatively, spend balmy summer nights on the deck under the stars at your riverside retreat.

Though this home in Looe is a bit of a climb, we think it's worth it. Once you reach the top of the steep lane, you'll have a magnificent view of the boats bobbing along the East Looe River from the private deck. It's a pretty sight, and thanks to the table and chairs, you'll be able to savour the scenery day or night alongside alfresco meals and evening cocktails. The inside makes the most of the location, too – not only do the Victorian bay windows in the lounge and bedrooms flood the rooms with light, but they also show off the water views. Cooking is anything but a chore in the sleek kitchen - it has everything you need to rustle up a delicious dinner, including a kitchen island for light bites. On rainy days, snuggle up in the living area – there's a DVD player, Netflix, a PS3 for gamers and an array of board games to play – but when the weather is nice, there's no better place to soak up the sun than East Looe Beach. It's an eight-minute walk away, so grab a towel and hit the sand. Also within walking distance are lots of traditional pubs, independent restaurants and local cafes if you're not in the mood to cook, and with the Eden Project just over a half hour's drive away, you'll be well-placed for exploring South East Cornwall.

When you imagine a stereotypically Cornish cottage, this quaint whitewashed home covered in cascading roses can’t be far from the mark. 

Inside, this romance continues. The soft-hued interior is cosy and oh-so-delicate, with pretty pinks and soft greys mixed with nautical touches and vintage-style furnishings. That being said, the kitchen and bathroom lie on the more contemporary side.

In the local area, the pretty fishing port of Looe can be reached in around fifteen minutes on foot, while the sandy Plaidy Beach is only five minutes' walk. If you're in the mood for a longer excursion, the South West Coast Path is easily reached, too.

When you’re ready to explore, make your way down to Looe Harbour (an eighteen-minute walk) where boats bring in all the fresh fish that finds its way onto the menus of the nearby harbour-side restaurants and award-winning fish and chip shops. Alternatively, grab your towel and head to the sands of East Looe Beach (a twenty-minute walk) and attempt to ride the waves with the help of an instructor from one of the nearby surf schools. With the famous South West Coast Path just a two-minute stroll from your door as well, there’s no end to the Cornish seaside delights in store.

The view from this seaside home has to be one of the best in Looe – overlooking the sandy beach and as close to the sea as it gets. Split over two floors, it's a large and practical apartment with a balcony and plenty of room for a family or group of friends. And with the beach just steps from your door, we imagine you'll be out there for morning walks, afternoons of sandcastle building and maybe even evening paddles.

Inside, you'll have two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the entrance level, meaning there's an upside-down arrangement here – allowing the main bedroom and living room to benefit from the best views. Open and bright, the living space upstairs has comfy seating, a dining table and doors out to the balcony. Shades of blue, white and grey reflect the view outside and they're continued into the kitchen, where a large hatch keeps everything nice and sociable at meal times. 

Here you'll also be just a short walk from Looe's many restaurants, tea rooms and shops, with the working fishing harbour on your doorstep and boat trips out to the nearby island. And there's lots to explore within an hour's drive too, from Plymouth's aquarium to the Eden Project.
