Located in Marazion, Cornwall's oldest town, there are plenty of discoveries to be made. The beaches and rock pools unveiled at low tide are great for the young ones on summer or winter days, while coastal walking options are endless and range from leisurely strolls to challenging half-day hikes. At home, warm your feet by the fire in the cosy living room, enjoy alfresco dining in the enclosed garden and host games sessions well into the night before sleeping soundly in the tranquil bedrooms. If you get the urge to explore further afield, you won't have to travel far before reaching stunning St Ives. Here, you'll join surfers, creatives and food-lovers in this bohemian enclave along Cornwall's rugged north coast that's well worth a visit.

The Mount

Positioned in Marazion, Cornwall’s oldest town, there are plenty of discoveries to be made here – the beaches at low tide are sublime in summer and even on cold winter days. Coastal hikes are endless and range from those looking to leisurely take in the scenes or commit to a more strenuous hike. Take a trip across the causeway to St. Michael’s Moun and be sure to visit the magical structures of the Bronze Age. You’ve got a bevvy of other beautiful beaches within easy reach too, including Perranuthnoe Beach (a five-minute drive), as well as dog-friendly ones too at Long Rock (a six-minute drive). Elsewhere, the charming village of Mousehole is a twenty-minute drive and Penzance is reachable by car in ten.

The barbecue is ready to go to cook up a feast, or you could enjoy a homecooked dinner around the dining table inside if the weather starts to chill. There's nothing more homely than gathering around with family and friends in a Cornish cottage, while the traditional fireplace warms you up from the inside out.
