You'll enjoy access to a range of onsite facilities though, from a spa and pool to a restaurant and shop, and you can explore the area by bike, on foot or even by canoe.

Though it's since undergone renovations, it takes pride in the stone floors, exposed walls and beams, adding character and charm to the space, even if the sloped ceilings mean taller guests have to watch their heads. At least there's no ducking outside where an expansive garden gives you more than enough space. You'll also find the seasonal swimming pool, fire pit, alfresco dining table and, if requested, a hot tub out here.
