Located in the friendly Pontcanna neighbourhood about twenty minutes' walk from Cardiff city centre, this attic flat is a daydream of cosy corners and secret spaces. Set over two floors in a large Victorian house, the home features lots of the owners' finds from across the globe, from crochet rugs picked up in Brazil through to wooden African masks. Pick up books from the shelves and leaf through next to the large sash windows, or simply curl up on the leather sofa for a Netflix movie night. Our favourite space is the attic, reached by a winding staircase with a cosy bed tucked under the rafters and draped in netting — sweet dreams are pretty much guaranteed. The expansive Portcanna Fields are just across the road, while the Principality Stadium is a quarter of an hour's walk if you want to catch a game of rugby.

The city centre around a twenty-minute walk away – however, you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes on your doorstep on Wellfield Road. If you're looking to explore further afield – you're in the ideal location to jump on a bus to Cardiff Bay.

Compact but practical and modern, this one-bedroom apartment is ideal for everyone from solo nomads on a tour of the UK's castles – Cardiff's lies only minutes away – to romantic weekends in the city and even business trips. If alfresco dining is out of bounds due to drizzle, the breakfast bar can squeeze everyone around it for indoor meals. While the bedrooms are a little snug – the second requires one guest to climb over the bed to reach their side – they are cosy spots to rest after a day exploring Bute Park and Cardiff city centre (twenty-five minutes on foot or ten by bus). Closer to home, you'll find quaint eateries and cosy pubs just a short stroll away.

Perfectly set up for longer stays as well as shorter ones, this smart and practical home is in a great spot close to the River Taff. Convenient for train stations, the city centre and the docks, it's in the heart of the city but your views will be of the tree-lined street and the riverside green space outside your door.

This apartment in south Cardiff is the perfect spot for a business trip, a family holiday or a couple’s getaway. Plush velvet furniture and a moss green colour palette create a cosy, relaxing living area, which is filled with natural light. Step through the balcony doors for a magnificent view of the calm waters of Bute East Dock. You’ll find a little table on the balcony which is the perfect spot for breakfast, or relaxing in the sun with a book. The kitchen is well equipped for whipping up home cooked meals, and the dining table doubles up as a handy workspace. There's super fast wi-fi, in case you need to get some work done. 

The apartment is in Atlantic Wharf, a neighbourhood placed conveniently between the city centre and the sea. Cardiff Bay can be reached in twelve minutes on foot, where you can admire the grand russet exterior of the Pierhead Building, or get a dose of culture at the Norwegian Church Art centre, a beautiful gallery set in a 19th century church with views across the bay. After a day of work or exploring, draw yourself a bubble bath, and then settle down for a movie night together.

With its hand-picked collection of contemporary furnishings, fully-equipped kitchen and sumptuous beds dressed in crisp white linens, this Cardiff abode feels just like home. If you’re in the mood to explore, take the thirteen-minute-drive into the heart of the city for a trip back in time at Cardiff Castle. Watch a rugby game at Principality Stadium or shop around the Morgan Quarter. Should you fancy a day at the seaside, Barry Island Beach is a forty-minute car ride away.

Check-in with your four-legged friends to this chic bolthole stood close to the water's edge of the newly generated Cardiff Bay. Home to impressive eateries and independents beneath its circa. 1902 shopping plaza arcade, it's an evening well spent. And make sure to bid the mighty Cardiff Castle a good evening – it's right opposite. You could even catch a castle ghost tour for legendary tales of Phantom figures and strange phenomena – we dares you.
