Polignano a Mare's historic centre is the perfect size to explore on foot, making requisite stops at various viewpoints dotted throughout the town. Also, one bedroom is in a separate building on the roof terrace, perfect for those wanting more privacy. We reckon you'll spend most days floating in the pool, dining on the extensive terrace, or swinging in the hammock under the olive trees. The breezy interiors also offer panoramas, as well as comfortable spots to lounge away from the sun. Of course, with Puglia's beautiful beaches an easy drive away, day trips will also be on the cards.
