A stone's throw from the iconic Piazzetta di Capri at the top of the funicular, with far-reaching views over the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea, this gorgeous apartment captures the imagination with its irresistible combination of emerald green marble floors and jaw-dropping location. 

Completely overhauled in 2021, your hosts have paid close attention to every detail to create an island escape that speaks to the soul. Hand-picked artwork, a well-equipped compact kitchen and two king-size en-suite bedrooms make this an ideal option for a family break, or a getaway with friends.

However, it's the outdoor terrace that steals the limelight. Shared between the apartment's two suites, there's more than enough space for everyone to spread out and claim a corner for themselves. With outdoor dining space, sun loungers and parasols, the scene is set for relaxing alfresco breakfasts, lazy days soaking up some sun, and romantic evening meals with the harbour lights twinkling away below.

Capri Town is only accessible on foot, with plenty of upmarket boutiques and mouthwatering restaurants within a short stroll. For an entirely different perspective on island life, we'd recommend taking to the water for a gentle cruise along its coast, passing secluded coves and the yawning mouths of sea caves.

Designed with rest and relaxation in mind, this villa is ideal for a family or group of friends seeking an easygoing stay. The outside space is the highlight – we loved the plunge pool, barbecue area for long, lazy dinners and views of Capri town and the Tyrrhenian Sea. While the interior design may read as dated to some, we think it’s unfussy, and although the kitchen is better suited to light bites, there is a fantastic selection of restaurants a short drive away. Keen to hit the beach? Marina Grande is your closest.

This charming Italian villa is nestled on a pedestrian-only street on the coast of Capri. Although it's dated in terms of decor, we love the location of this home –  it's minutes away from the small but fashionable Piazzetta and boasts wonderful views across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Evenings spent dining on the private terrace go some way towards making up for the basic interiors of this property. Like a lot of places on this island, it can only be reached via a long flight of stairs – so may not be suitable for individuals with reduced mobility. We also strongly suggest booking a porter service in advance, to help carry your luggage to and from the villa.

In the heart of Capri, this villa is a mere three-minute walk from the town’s Piazzetta and the funicular for a stunning view of the islands. This stunning villa is located in the heart of Capri, just a short walk from the famous Capri Piazzetta. The villa boasts panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples, Sorrento, and Punta Campanella. The grand terrace features quintessentially Caprese columns, olive trees, and a remarkable spot for lounging and alfresco dining – we spent all of our time outside. There’s even a petite outdoor kitchen. Inside, there’s a huge amount of space – the three suites each have a separate lounge area, which makes this a great choice for couples and families seeking a touch more privacy while still travelling as a group.

This apartment is a real gem. It's well-placed to explore Capri's landmarks – the Gardens of Augustus and Krupp Street are both easily reached on foot – and you'll find plenty of restaurants and boutiques nearby, too. It's on the smaller side, but it's a great size for two and the artwork is quintessentially Italian. The bedroom is on the mezzanine, so there's a separate space to snuggle up after sightseeing, but the kitchenette is compact so dining out might be a good idea. For a romantic trip to one of Italy's most famous islands, this is an excellent choice.

The location makes it an ideal spot for a restorative retreat, whilst also providing easy access to the centre of Anacapri (just a ten-minute drive away) as well as the iconic Blue Grotto. When you aren’t exploring, the terrace lends itself perfectly to slow days by the pool. From the living room, the sea view spreads out before you, while the bedrooms have direct balcony access – making it easy to sit back and soak up the beauty of coastal living.

Or spend your days relaxing in the private swimming pool with its hydro massage jets – we love the sea views from here. You can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea vistas from the upstairs bedrooms too. There’s a pizza oven as well, for authentic pizzas, if you don’t feel like eating out.

Sure, you’ll need to climb the spiral staircase to reach the rooftop terrace, but the vistas are worth it. Fancy a splash in the sea? There’s direct access here – just take the stairs down 200 metres. Ideal for extended families or a group of friends, the separate annexe also affords two guests a little extra privacy. Massa Lubrense is only two kilometres away when you fancy some Italian cuisine, and well worth a visit.

We don’t believe in waking up early on holiday - give us a lie in and breakfast in bed any day. But we might just make an exception at The Ocean Fern. The sight of the sun rising over the glittering blue seas of the Italian coastline is something everyone should experience at least once, and it’s even better if you’re close enough to hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the pebble beach below you. This home couldn’t be closer to the sea, with an infinity pool directly overlooking the beach and staggering views from every window (not to mention the spacious terrace). Home to the King of Naples in the early 19th century, this breathtaking villa is steeped in history, boasting a whole host of traditional design features that are sure to delight even the most discerning guest. From vaulted ceilings to marble plinths and mosaic floors, this place has surprises around every corner, and we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to soak them all up. 

It's not style over substance here though – with tonnes of amenities at your disposal, there’s plenty to keep you occupied on days you don’t feel like venturing out.
