Tucked away in the hills above Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, this villa is a real hidden gem. It boasts stunning views of the Bay of Naples and the rugged hills of the Sorrento Peninsula – you may find it difficult to tear your gaze away. 

The villa is modern and stylish, with heaps of space. You can spend time together as a group, but also slip away for a quiet moment here. The home gym means you needn’t miss out on workouts, and the elegant spa-like bathtub means you can relax just as easily. 

Best of all, the outside space is wonderful. The terrace has an outdoor kitchen and a barbecue with glorious views. If you’re anything like us, you’ll want to spend all your time out here. When you’re not cooking or dining, you can stretch out on a sofa and drink in the view as you top up your tan. Children will love the free-standing swimming pool, too. 

It takes around ten minutes to stroll to Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, where you can shop and dine out. Slightly further afield but still within easy reach is Massa Lubrense, a pretty town known for its pastel-coloured houses perched on cliffs. Stroll around the harbour to admire the boats while tucking into gelato. Sorrento and all of its beauty and style are a twenty-minute drive away. There’s something for everyone here.

The area has good transport links, making it easy to visit beautiful places like Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii and the island of Capri, so you couldn’t ask for a better location.

Oh my word, look at the breathtaking vistas of the picturesque hillside from this home. You can enjoy the views from the private terrace and the stylish living space, too. The main bedroom is on a mezzanine overlooking the living room, while guests three and four will be on a sofa bed here. If you can tear yourself away, then hop in the car and explore all that the glorious Amalfi Coast has to offer (there’s free parking here).

Each bedroom is dressed in its own theme and provides a comfortable, calm space to rest your weary eyes. Brew a pot of fresh coffee in the morning and entice your friends and family to join you to ponder how to spend your day. Once the residence of the noble d'Avalos family, this 18th-century villa close to the tip of the Amalfi Coast still retains an air of grandeur. Some of this is down to the stately proportions of the large rooms and the archways that connect them up, although the refined interior design also plays a pretty pivotal role – we defy anybody not to be instantly won over by the antique furnishings, ornate chandeliers and smart tiling throughout.

The outside space is just as swoon-worthy. Not only are there remarkable views of the Gulf of Naples and the islands bobbing about in this blanket of azure to be had from the balcony, but there are plenty of ways to pass hot afternoons. The swimming pool will be a welcome sight when the temperature starts to climb and the verdant garden also has lots of shady spots in among the Mediterranean vegetation. There's also a rather chic glass-roofed verandah on which to dine alfresco, too.

When it comes to seeing a little more of this famously picturesque corner of Italy, the centre of Massa Lubrense is only 200 metres away and offers bars, restaurants and shops. The nearest beach is only a kilometre away, plus the historic streets of Sorrento are eight kilometres away.
