With a full house, two guests will be on the sofa bed, and the only bathroom is the ensuite. But for families or a couple, the apartment is the perfect Sorrentine base. When it's time to explore, you'll find the coastal towns of Massa Lubrense and Sorrento a short drive away. And when you want to stay closer to home, you'll find plenty of eateries within walking distance.

Compact yet bright and modern, this apartment suits a solo traveller, couple or small family seeking a peaceful stay a twenty-minute drive from Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. While the home is equipped with a kitchen, you won’t find an oven, only a hob. Fortunately, eateries are within walking distance if you fancy a feast. As the mezzanine bedroom is semi-open to the space below, we think the sofa bed is better suited for children if you stay as a group of four. Outside, there’s a private terrace with sweeping views of the landscape.

With panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this villa is all about kicking back and relaxing in the sunshine. Shops, restaurants and cafes are found in Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, a short drive away, but if you’d like to explore further afield, Sorrento is reached in under thirty minutes. The home boasts a fenced garden (ideal if you’re travelling with small children or pets) and a swimming pool. There’s also a private path around the grounds for strolls at dusk. And to top it off, a cleaning team visits six days a week, so you won’t need to lift a finger.

Located at the foot of Lattari Mountains, on the outskirts of Sant’Agata sui Dui Golfi and 9 kilometres from Sorrento, this minimalist home is a place for taking it easy in the glorious Italian sunshine. Inside, white-washed walls and floors are brightened up with pops of blue and red in the open-concept living space, creating a soothing yet uplifting atmosphere.

If you like to keep active on your holidays, stretch your legs with a ramble through the Sentiero delle Sirenuse hiking area, located a short drive away. Or why not spend the day exploring the fascinating Pompeii Archaeological Site. Return to your abode in the early evening for a relaxing soak in your bedroom’s free-standing tub before watching a knockout sunset from your private terrace – we think it’s an experience best enjoyed with a limoncello spritz in hand.

If you’ve ever dreamt of waking up in your own museum, this is the place for you. Home to the King of Naples in the early 19th century, this breathtaking villa is steeped in history, boasting a whole host of traditional design features that are sure to delight even the most discerning guest. From vaulted ceilings to marble plinths and mosaic floors, this place has surprises around every corner, and we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to soak them all up. 

It's not style over substance here though – with tonnes of amenities at your disposal, there’s plenty to keep you occupied on days you don’t feel like venturing out. Slather on some suncream and go for a dip in the private pool, get a couple of new recipes under your belt with an in-home cooking class, or indulge in a solo yoga session in the fresh air. Then, when it’s time to eat, pour yourself a well-deserved aperitivo and head out onto the terrace for a spot of alfresco dining with all your favourite people. After all, isn’t that what summer escapes are all about?

Tucked away in the hills above Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, this villa is a real hidden gem. It boasts stunning views of the Bay of Naples and the rugged hills of the Sorrento Peninsula – you may find it difficult to tear your gaze away. 

The villa is modern and stylish, with heaps of space. You can spend time together as a group, but also slip away for a quiet moment here. The home gym means you needn’t miss out on workouts, and the elegant spa-like bathtub means you can relax just as easily. 

Best of all, the outside space is wonderful. The terrace has an outdoor kitchen and a barbecue with glorious views. If you’re anything like us, you’ll want to spend all your time out here. When you’re not cooking or dining, you can stretch out on a sofa and drink in the view as you top up your tan. Children will love the free-standing swimming pool, too. 

It takes around ten minutes to stroll to Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, where you can shop and dine out. Slightly further afield but still within easy reach is Massa Lubrense, a pretty town known for its pastel-coloured houses perched on cliffs. Stroll around the harbour to admire the boats while tucking into gelato. Sorrento and all of its beauty and style are a twenty-minute drive away. There’s something for everyone here.

When it comes to views, this home just outside Massa Lubrense doesn't disappoint. Whether in the pool or sipping on cocktails on the terraces, you can gaze out across the Gulf of Naples and Capri Island here. Or perhaps you want to catch the sunset as you dine alfresco with a meal rustled up in the outdoor kitchen. If you're a full house, the living room may get crowded with four guests on sofa beds. But we don't think you'll mind – you'll still find plenty of room to yourselves with an ensuite in every bedroom and lots of space to unwind outside.

Nestled in the hills and surrounded by olive groves, this villa oozes tranquillity. Inside, traditional blends seamlessly with contemporary, while the chef-worthy kitchen will have you eager to cook. With that in mind, why not ask your host to arrange cooking classes or a pizza party on the private terrace, for a true taste of Italy? The outdoor space just about steals the show.
