Even when you’re inside, the sea views are the focal point thanks to huge windows. The decor inside is chic with a playful side, with charming trinkets dotted around. We think this home is perfect for a couple, a small family, or a trio of friends.

The beach is located directly opposite the home’s main entrance and the surrounding area offers plenty of local shops and restaurants. At full capacity you may feel a tad squeezed here – we think that the place is best suited for a couple. Bear in mind that the pad is situated on the third floor with no lift.

Due to its size, we think this home is best suited for couples or a small family – note that there’s a second apartment in the building so privacy might be compromised at times.

Cook up a storm in the sleek kitchen and tuck into a variety of homemade meals alfresco style on the patio, followed by a snooze in the tree hammock as the children enjoy themselves on the garden playground. Dip your toes into the refreshing water of your very own pool whilst you admire the view of the sea and the relaxing sound of the waves. To the right of the pool, you'll notice a rocky beach, giving you a sense of rurality as you soak up the rays.

This dreamy home can be found with Mount Etna on one side and the Sicilian coast on the other. It’s a home ideal for large groups or families, with the main villa and a separate annex, so everyone has their own space – both even have their own kitchens.  

Outside, a picturesque terrace leads to the pool, surrounded by lush gardens. The cherry on top, though, is the view. While drifting in the pool on a lilo, you can gaze out over the hilly countryside landscape, all laid before the dramatic backdrop of Mount Etna. The gardens are an oasis, whether you’re swimming in the pool, lazing in the sunshine, or playing table tennis. The covered dining table on the terrace makes mealtimes a real occasion – why not fire up the barbecue to grill some fresh fish? 

The villa is tucked away in the countryside, but the small towns and villages of Sicily’s coastline are still accessible by car. It takes forty-seven minutes to reach the beach, and there are lots of attractive eateries nearby so you can really make a day of it. 

The home’s location at the foot of Mount Etna makes adventure ever so accessible. Hike up the majestic volcano in the summer and ski down in the winter. The base for the summit hike is an hour and twenty-three minutes away, so set off early – you’ll want plenty of time at the summit to take in the view. 

When you return to the villa, freshen up with an evening dip in the pool, and settle in for a relaxing evening on the terrace. Open a bottle of Sicilian wine before feasting on arancini and pasta all norma.

This home places you a short drive from the nearest beach, where you can see the famous Window on the Sea sculpture on the pebble shores right from your windows. It's only a short drive to the medieval village of Santo Stefano di Camastra from this home too, where you can easily immerse yourself in laid-back local life with its restaurants, bars and shops.

While compact in size, the place benefits from a large private garden where you’ll be able to enjoy alfresco meals and soak up the sun – you’ll also have direct access to the sea. Note that you’ll be sharing the building with the guests of the upstairs apartment – this being said, we think this pad makes for a great base for a couple or a small family on a Sicilian getaway.

We love the large dining area, ideal for feasting on pizza and pasta with your loved ones.

Go on a wander around the grounds and you’ll come across the home’s private woods and lake – the perfect place to have a stroll in the shade of the lush treetops when the Italian heat turns up. Summer evenings can be spent sipping on Prosecco while you take the short 400m walk down to your own private pebble beach, where you’ll find your own beach chairs where you can relax and watch the sunset.

When you want to venture out, Nebrodi National Park offers wonderful walks and hikes, while nearby Caronia Marina boasts plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars.

This apartment on the eastern edge of Sicily between Riposto and Acireale is a real feast for the eyes.
