Days can be spent riding the horses from the stable, exploring the area by E-bike, or taking a cookery class at the restaurant, where you might learn how to make fresh pasta or cantuccini. We particularly love the contemporary modular sofa, artistic lighting and Asian wall art that blends with the handmade wood and antique fireplace to create a well-balanced, zen space to relax after an explorative day driving up and down the winding hillside roads. Cook up a storm in the sleek kitchen, before tucking into a big group meal in the dining room with funky decorative details – like the wooden bookshelves and Asian-influenced objects. 

But while we adore the interiors, our favourite spot has to be down by the glistening pool. Whether you're enjoying an alfresco lunch on the covered terrace, cooling off with a quick dip in the pool, or enjoying an aperitif under the canopy, you'll be able to admire the incredible green vistas. 

When you're ready to explore, there's a host of charming hamlets and villages to discover, including Volterra and Pomarance – both less than thirty minutes' drive away. 

Asian Fusion

Immerse yourself in the beauty of southern Tuscany with a stay in this home near the picturesque town of Castiglione della Pescaia. Surrounded by a dense pine forest, you'll be just a short walk from sandy beaches and an easy drive from shops, restaurants, and Grosseto. The terrace calls for alfresco breakfasts and evening sundowners, while the coastal-inspired interiors are the essence of calm. This clifftop villa caught our eye for its views across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Located in the coastal town of Punta Ala, you’ll have direct access to the water, via steep private steps from the garden (the trek back up isn’t for the faint-hearted). There are two living rooms here (although the design may not be everyone's cup of tea), and all of the bedrooms are en-suite, so it’s a great option for a group. We love the outdoor spaces most of all – you’ll have a choice of spots to enjoy a morning espresso, alfresco lunch, or sundowner while admiring the panoramas. Location-wise, you'll find a beach, a golf course, and Punta Ala Marina all within a few minute's drive.

Two Seas

You’ll find this stone-clad, hilltop home in the glorious Umbria countryside, surrounded by two hectares of lush lawns, embellished with young olive trees and fragrant bushes of lavender, rosemary and thyme. Spending time here is nothing short of idyllic. Chic farmhouse style interiors in whites and creams make spaces feel crisp and fresh. We love how the kitchen’s sleek, chrome fridge and butcher’s block contrast with the quaint Welsh dresser. In the living room, French doors open up to a patio that’s perfectly set up for entertaining. Sip bittersweet negronis on the rattan sofa or gather around the alfresco dining table to enjoy local produce cooked up on the barbecue. Settle in with a good book under the wisteria wrapped gazebo or plunge into the L-shaped salt water pool – it’s the perfect salve to long, hot afternoons. Swim unhurried laps or take in the impressive views of the Val di Chiana from the water’s edge.

Wake up to a light breakfast in the charming kitchen then spend your day lounging by the secluded pool or floating about in its cool water. 

Enjoy a quiet moment with a good book on the wisteria-covered pergola, surrounded by the scent of potted lavender, before heading out to explore. Stroll around the village of Panicale, right on your doorstep, or drive over to Perugia for a tour of the excavations under San Lorenzo cathedral, followed by a mosey around Porta Sole, the city’s creative quarter. When dusk falls, pick out a family-run restaurant for a selection of hearty local dishes.
