Situated in the Veneto region of Italy, this apartment is located within a Palladian villa originally built in the 16th century. You can expect grand architecture and beautifully-kept grounds, which contain a communal swimming pool and plenty of space for the little ones to run around. There’s even a football field and fish pond, so it’s safe to say you can enjoy some great days out without even getting in the car. That being said, you’re ideally located for exploring the nearby art towns like Treviso, Padua and Venice, which are well worth a visit if you ask us. 

Veneto Sweet

Just an hour's drive from Venice, this hilltop villa offers panoramic countryside views. While the traditional decor and antique furniture may not be to everyone's tastes, we think the interiors are charming in their own right. But with three floors and steep steps here, it will be difficult for guests who struggle with stairs. The top-floor main suite is one of our favourites – we can't resist the wooden ceilings or that stone bathtub – but the sun-kissed terrace and private pool are close seconds. Day trips are easy with Treviso and Padova within driving distance, but if you'd prefer to stay closer to home, Asolo is a twenty-minute walk away and has artisan shops and restaurants.

Hilltop Serenity

This luxurious apartment is located in the heart of Asolo, a charming medieval town in the Veneto region of Italy. Housed in a historic building, this apartment is situated in the Riviere Esterne neighbourhood of Padua. While you'll need to take the stairs up to the home's entrance, it has two small balconies – one overlooking the district’s internal canal and another over the Riviera Paleocapa. If you need to catch up on work, there’s a study area here too, but we bet you’d prefer to explore this cultural city. Known for its frescoes such as those in the Scrovegni Chapel, there’s plenty to see. The iconic Specola is a five-minute walk, while an eight-minute stroll will take you to Piazza Duomo and the centre of this university town is ten minutes on foot.

Owned by the noble Papafava dei Carraresi family since the thirteenth century, the home entwines its charming rural setting with hundreds of years of family history to create a unique space that is sure to captivate the curiosity of its guests. 

Across the property, you'll find numerous different seating areas designed around the arts of relaxation and socialising. The space is idyllic for those in larger groups or celebrating special occasions such as family reunions, birthdays and weddings.

For games nights, get competitive over a round of ping pong before settling down in the living area or suite bedrooms (spread across the main house and the annexe) for more tranquil moments of relaxation.

Hanging out on four hectares of vineyards and olive groves, this vine-covered villa has the right idea with ample outdoor seating, a crystal-clear private pool and several options for sun lounging. Though it's a little traditionally styled, there's a certain rustic charm and plenty of space for a family to hunker down. And with some bedrooms in the annexed apartment and studio, privacy is another thing this home has in spades. It's also within the Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei, which will interest hiking enthusiasts, and Padua, Verona and Venice are all within driving distance. There's a breakfast service here but speak to your host about catering or a private chef.

This charming and functional apartment is a great choice for those looking to be in the heart of Venice. From here, you’ll have your pick of restaurants and bars, while St Mark's Square and Doge's Palace are a short walk away. Inside, there are two very compact kitchenettes, which are only suitable for preparing light bites. There's also a sofa bed for flexible sleeping options. But, the real standout is the private courtyard, complete with a garden set, perfect for morning coffees. Just keep in mind that this home is spread over multiple floors with no lift, so we recommend it for those who can easily manage stairs. 

Venice's Loredan

Tucked away in Venice's arty district of Dorsoduro, this charming home has a large private garden that kids will love, along with space for alfresco dining and sunbathing. The main bedroom enjoys its own en-suite, and while you won't have views in all the bedrooms here, the location is great. You won't be fully central, but you're never far from the action and you might hear some outside noise during your stay. You'll find a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops close by, as well as Vaporetto stops for easy travel across this iconic city.

Verdant Retreat

This cosy apartment is just moments from St. Mark's Square and overlooks the maze-like beauty of Venice from its private balcony on the third floor. You'll need to climb stairs to reach it and the decor is on the simple side, but it's ideal if you want to be close to the action without being in the centre of everything. The kitchen is small here – good for cooking light meals, but fear not. You'll find a wealth of Venice's fantastic restaurants right on your doorstep, along with shops and the famous canals.

The Vaporetto

Situated in the San Polo district, this apartment is just a three-minute stroll from the iconic Rialto Bridge. You'll also find the Rialto Market here, while Piazza San Marco is a ten-minute walk away. Need a break after all that sightseeing? There's a private terrace back home for enjoying a glass of Prosecco after a busy day. Inside, the kitchen is on the small side – there's no oven, but there's a hob and microwave. Also, at full capacity, two people will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. All in all, though, this is a decent base for exploring Venice.

Let’s begin with the beautiful views of the canal from the living room – you’ll love watching the gondolas glide past. If you’re here in summer, you’ll be glad to know that this apartment has air conditioning too. What about the address then? Well, it’s just over a five-minute walk from Rialto Bridge and just over a ten-minute stroll to Piazza San Marco.

The Bells of Venice

You'll find this apartment perched beside one of Venice's picturesque canals. The location is fantastic – and not just because the historic building has its own private bridge across the water. Piazza San Marco is a twelve-minute stroll, while Rialto Bridge is walkable in ten. If the location doesn't wow you, we reckon the interiors will. Exposed wooden beams and antique furniture add a traditional touch, while the well-appointed kitchen is more modern. Your host is also happy to arrange extras like welcome hampers, gondola rides, and other experiences, making this a sweet couple's retreat in the heart of the city.

Venetian Blooms

Reached by a private bridge, this historic home has a wonderful Venetian setting. It’s just a twelve-minute walk from Piazza San Marco and nine minutes from the Rialto Bridge. A few vaporetto stops are also within walking distance, so reaching Marco Polo airport and the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello, and the Lido is easy. Inside this apartment, you can watch gondolas passing on the canal or take in the vistas over the terracotta rooftops. The decor is traditional, and there’s a lived-in vibe, so this home may not suit minimalists. But if you need to work from home, you’ll be glad to know there are a couple of desks here.



A Canal of Dreams

Well, it’s totally obvious why this home has made our collection – just look at the stunning views of the Grand Canal from this apartment’s private terrace. It’s the perfect spot for sunset drinks, for sure. There are vistas to enjoy from inside as well, from the large windows in the open-plan living space. If you can tear yourself away from the panorama, this place is in the heart of the city, so it’s close to all the main attractions, too.

The Little Venice

Ideally located in Venice’s Cannaregio neighbourhood, this traditional and stylish pad is within easy walking distance of the city’s historic landmarks and cultural institutions. You can arrive by boat here, with Fondamente Nuove, just steps away. The interiors are considered, with plenty of space for your cohort – the central dining room is the heart of this apartment and where we imagine you’ll share memorable meals. Keep in mind this is a central location, so noise is to be expected, though the artfully-designed bedrooms make falling asleep feel somewhat luxurious.

Venetian Gondola

Take in the glimpses of the 14th-century Frari church and the local square from this home’s windows – great for watching the world go by. The accommodation is on the first and second floors, which is great as it maximises those vistas. We should also mention that the third bedroom has a single day bed, and the room is quite compact. Otherwise, this home is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to explore Venice. Location-wise, you’re a short stroll from the Scuola Grande di San Rocco and the Grand Canal is within walking distance as well.

Bellissimo at the Frari

Amid the historic streets of Cannaregio, this apartment is ideally placed to drop off your bags and explore Venice. From here, it’s a short walk to churches, restaurants, bars and shops (including one of Italy’s most beautiful supermarkets). The train station is also nearby and your host is on hand to help organise airport transfers. It’s worth noting the apartment is on the third floor with no lift access, but you will find everything you could need to settle in and unwind. The rooms are simple, fresh and well-suited to couples in search of practicality and ease.

Set in the Cannaregio district, this apartment makes a great base for an inspiring city stay. Just a few steps from the Ponte delle Guglie, you’ll find easy access to iconic sights as well as local restaurants, bars and shops. The nearest supermarket (described as one of the most beautiful supermarkets in Italy) is a short walk away, and there are great public transport links. Your host can help organise airport transfers and you’ll find everything you could need to settle in and unwind. The rooms are simple, comfortable and family friendly with the handy addition of a sofa bed for one guest. 

Modern Venice

You can live like a local in this area of Venice, just a short walk from the train station and Piazzale Roma. It’s also an easy stroll from the ancient Jewish quarter and the frescoes of Tiepolo of Sant'Alvise and Madonna dell'Orto. Back at this apartment, we love the vaulted beamed ceilings and the views out over the rooftops of Venice. At full capacity, one guest will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the bedroom, so this place might best suit a family.
