We absolutely love the views over the ocean from this home's communal pool deck. There's a gym for your daily workout and a sky bar, restaurant, lounge, entertainment hub, barbecue area and boutique here, too. The shared facilities are excellent, we have to say. There are more city views and sea glimpses to enjoy from this apartment's private wraparound balcony. Another feature we love is that both bedrooms open onto the terrace and have en-suites. We haven't mentioned the location yet. Well, you'll be near the popular Sea Point Promenade, while the V&A Waterfront is a five to ten-minute drive away.

Camping over the Bay

Surrounded by The Twelve Apostles mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean, this colonial home in Camps Bay's best feature might be the large sash windows that create the illusion of being right in the water. Take advantage of that by watching the tide change from the striped wing chairs, or grab a book from the small library and sink into the brown leather sofa – with the windows open, of course, you want to hear the lapping waves beyond. 

Get the coffee dripping first thing in the morning and once breakfast has been prepared, you can take it all out on the sun terrace where to eat alfresco. Breathe in the fresh, sea salt air from your position on the sunlouger, take a dip in the clear, solar-heated swimming pool, and when lunch inevitably comes around, be sure to try South Africa’s favourite pastime, the braai. If you’re not up for barbecuing, you can of course sample the eateries of the area. There are a couple of restaurants and cafes around a five-minute walk away. 

Spend sundrenched days at the beach – there are plenty of options to explore along the coast, including the famous Clifton Beach. Swim in the Camps Bay Tidal Pool, only a short walk away, or pick any one of the tens of hiking trails around – Lion’s Head is an especially popular choice and the starting point is only seven minutes away by car. 

After a long, tiring day, soak in a bubble bath with a glass of wine in hand. Afterward, why not sit out under the stars with koeksisters or peppermint crisp tart and end the day on a sweet note? 

Sunseekers Haven

This cosy little apartment is the perfect pad for a Cape Town break near the beach. This home is just 100 metres from Camps Bay Beach, so you can almost smell the sea air when you wake up each day and open up the Juliet balcony doors. 

A soft, neutral colour palette means that this home is calm, an ideal place to call home when visiting a city as lively as Cape Town. You’ll sleep well in the comfortable beds, and have everything you need to relax right at your fingertips. There’s even a small garden where you can soak up the sun.

You’re never far from your next great meal here, with a wealth of bars, restaurants and cafes just around the corner on Victoria Road. There’s also a lovely kitchen in the apartment, so you can easily whip up pancakes for breakfast to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Perhaps you’ll take the cable car up Table Mountain and drink in the view? It’s a magnificent way to spend an afternoon.

Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront feels like an opulent floating city within a city. Location-wise, you’re in the beachy suburb of Camps Bay, where a stretch of bone-white sand attracts surfers and sun loungers alike. It’s a twenty-five-minute walk (or four-minute drive) to myriad seafront restaurants and bars and there’s shopping galore on Victoria Road. 

Summer Camp

We don't know what we loved more – the idyllic infinity pool or the view across the stunning beauty of Camps Bay. Luckily, you can combine the two for one of the most magical experiences in South Africa. 

The breathtaking view, crisp scent and refreshing sea breeze create a wonderful sensory treat. Waking up to the sound of the waves lapping onto the shore and the salty air greeting the nose is the perfect way to begin your day. 

When you want a break from the water, you can laze on the beds by the pool, kissed by the gentle rays of the sun. Have a cocktail or glass of orange juice by your side for true luxury. 

The outdoor space undoubtedly steals the limelight, but the interior boasts contemporary chic charm. Authentically African touches – such as the unique artefacts, colourful art and Kudu leather couch - complement the neutral tones and soft colour palette.

Inside, you’ll find contemporary design with bags of style. We absolutely love the marble wall murals, luxe fabrics, unique light fittings and Scandi-style furniture. You can rest in the cosy lounge area while taking in the sea views, or sit at the breakfast bar with coffees and pastries in the mornings. On sunny days, you can throw open your balcony doors to let the outside in.

Step outside to find your alfresco dining area – perfect for cocktails at sunset – as well as sun loungers where you can relax in the sunshine. There’s also a communal swimming pool that’s great for a refreshing dip on hot and sticky days, as well as a communal barbecue area where you can grill up some scrummy South African meats to feast on in the evenings.


Sea Point Skylines

Nestled rather beautifully between the majestic Table Mountain and the glistening sea, this bohemian-style home is an idyllic base for a family or a group of friends looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in Cape Town. 

Arrive to be greeted by this home’s cheerful exterior, set against a stunning backdrop of the cloud-covered mountains and boasting partial sea views. The inside will greet you with a bright and cosy living room, with plenty of comfy spaces to lounge about and relax after a long beach day. We love the laid-back vibe of this pad, with its lovely wooden floors and warm ambience. Enjoy movie nights with your loved ones, settling comfortably on the plush sofas in front of the fireplace. You can slide open the glass door and step directly onto the vast terrace and pool area, where you’ll also find a dining table with enough sitting for eight - should you opt for an indoor feast, there's an elegant table here too. On those balmy summer nights gather everyone outside for delicious dinners and barbecues under the stars. On hot afternoons, you can easily spend hours reading and relaxing on the comfy sun loungers by the pool. 

For a night of restful sleep, you’ll have a choice of three equally plush bedrooms, although our personal favourite has to be the master with a sleek ensuite bathroom. Treat yourself to an indulgent bubble bath, before drifting off to the land of sweet dreams in the luxurious king-sized bed. 

In the morning you’ll wake up refreshed and ready for another day of exploring. Head out to find yourself in a lovely neighbourhood, close to the picturesque beaches and with easy access to the centre of Cape Town. Why not start with brunch at your local Bootlegger Coffee Company, located just around the corner from your home. 

The Beachcombers 

A contemporary Clifton stay awaits you at this stunning seaside apartment, located just a stone’s throw from the picturesque palm-lined shore and gorgeous blue sea of Clifton Beach. We love this home’s modern and trendy feel, with marbled surfaces, mirrored walls, luxe light fittings and sleek furniture. We were particularly impressed by the kitchen area, furnished with the latest mod-cons, and featuring a breakfast bar where you can pour some champagne and share a toast. There’s also a dining set for tucking into delicious braai all together on summer evenings. But the true gem of the home is in its outdoor areas – the breathtaking views out to sea make the space feel special. The balcony features a private pool which provides the perfect place to cool off from the hot South African sunshine, while the alfresco dining set is great for sipping on sundowners and watching the sky turn pink.

Sparkling Reflections

Tucked away in Cape Town’s leafy De Waterkant district, this stunning apartment is a haven of tranquillity in the heart of the Capital. From the neutral tones to the luxury furnishings, there’s nothing not to love about the interior here, which comes complete with all the amenities you’d expect from a high-end hotel alternative. Gather around the dining table for a relaxing evening meal, take a minute for yourself in the quiet enclosed courtyard, or head upstairs for a late-night dip in the private rooftop plunge pool. 

Just a short walk from Cape Town City Centre, this gorgeous home is perfectly placed for exploring all that South Africa’s largest city has to offer. Soak up some culture at one of Cape Town’s iconic museums or make your way to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a delicious waterside meal. However you spend your days here, we highly recommend heading home before dusk so you can watch the sun go down from your private rooftop terrace. We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of a better way to spend the evening.

With the peaceful rooftop terrace and private jacuzzi that comes with this penthouse apartment, you'd be forgiven for forgetting you're in the centre of Cape Town. Take in panoramic views that are exclusive to you – you'll see all the way to the sea, and can plan your itinerary from a unique vantage point. You'll also enjoy access to a shared swimming pool, allowing you to cool down after a day of working on your tan. All this before we've even mentioned the modern and luxurious interiors – what's not to like?

When it comes time to dine, whip up a South African-inspired meal in the sleek kitchen. Serve up your creations – potjiekos, perhaps? – at the six-person dining table with sunlight flooding in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. This new-build home has the feel of an executive suite, with trendy black accents and plush velvet seating.

If you're craving a swim in the sea, you won't have to travel far. Queen's beach is just a seven-minute drive away, home to white sands and impossibly clear waters. Spend the afternoon laying on the shore before heading into the city centre to sample the local nightlife.
