The apartment will welcome you with a bright and cosy open-plan living room, with huge windows letting in plenty of natural light. Slide open the glass door and step out on the balcony – while you might miss the sea views, the lovely trees and that blue sky will still make for a lovely backdrop for a relaxed drink or two with your loved ones. Inside, you can kick back and relax on the comfy sofa, enjoying a movie night, courtesy of the smart TV and a Netflix account. This lavish home in the upmarket neighbourhood of De Waterkant is breathtaking. Soft hues of rose and peach envelop the apartment, sweeping a sepia, dreamlike feel across this outstandingly decorated home. It's luxurious and modern, but the soft tones that run throughout the home keep it warm and comforting. But the standout features are the old stone brick walls and wood beamed ceilings, tying in a natural element to this super contemporary home. 

This home is the epitome of indoor/outdoor living, with large patio doors bringing you into the courtyard, which lies between the bedrooms and the living and kitchen area. We love how the wooden beams continue in the courtyard, which is so beautifully decorated that it barely feels like an outdoor area. Evenings spent here are particularly wonderful, enjoying candlelit meals and drinks around the outdoor dining table, before heading up to your rooftop to sip on wine and watch the city skyline sparkle against the dark. Of course, the rooftop is beautiful during the day too, with a small pool that's perfect for cooling off from the South African sun, but there's something about a skyline at night that feels extra special. 

Not only is this home incredibly stunning, but it's also in a great location. You're in the heart of De Waterkant, a vibrant neighbourhood teeming with coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques, bars, eateries, and more. It's the perfect blend between upmarket and trendy. Plus, you're within easy reach of Cape Town's beaches and the majestic Table Mountain.

Bamboo Sugar

If you’re looking for a home with a view, they don’t get much better than this. Nestled in the heart of Sea Point – one of Cape Town’s most coveted neighbourhoods – this ocean-facing apartment is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Inside, high ceilings and plush furnishings make this a home you’ll be happy to linger in, while the private terrace is the perfect place to soak up the gorgeous South African sunshine. Go for a quick dip in the glistening pool or settle in for a day of drinking and dining at the outdoor dining table, which boasts gorgeous views of Cape Town’s beautiful Signal Hill. 

We could easily spend all day unwinding here but, if you fancy a change of scenery, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Wander down to Queen’s Beach for an afternoon of sunbathing or stretch your legs at Signal Hill, one of the best places to watch the sun go down over the city. When it’s time to eat, grab a bite at a local restaurant or head home for a delicious evening meal in the fresh air before turning in for the night. We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of a better way to end the day. 

Yellowwood Heights

With a view of the Twelve Apostle Hills and an enviable location in Camps Bay, this family villa is a little slice of luxury in Cape Town. There’s plenty to keep the whole group entertained and pampered at the villa itself, with a swimming pool looking out towards the Atlantic, a separate plunge pool and a braai for those hot summer nights. A wall of glass slides open to blend the swimming pool terrace with the huge, open-plan living area. In here, you’ve got a vast dining table and plush lounge set around a striking feature fireplace. 

Heading down to the lower floor, you’ll find a dedicated games room with a pool table, and the secret plunge pool on the terrace outside. Bedrooms come with private balconies and patios to take in that Camps Bay sunset in peace every evening. 

Location-wise, you’re in the beachy suburb of Camps Bay, where a stretch of bone-white sand attracts surfers and sun loungers alike. It’s a twenty-five-minute walk (or four-minute drive) to myriad seafront restaurants and bars and there’s shopping galore on Victoria Road. 

Summer Camp

A palm-fringed paradise right on Cape Town's coast, this apartment is an absolute dream come true, as far as we're concerned. Floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every room give you ample opportunity to marvel at the incredible view. Whether you're watching TV on the sumptuous L-shaped sofa, preparing dinner in the glossy kitchen or waking up in the luxurious bedrooms, swaying palm trees and rolling waves will be your backdrop.

Dusk or dawn, the best spot to relish in the scenery is on the panoramic deck. Pull up a chair and pour yourself a cocktail, take a dip in the showstopping plunge pool or gather around the outdoor table for an alfresco feast in the seaside air – every second here will feel like a wonderland. It's so heavenly, in fact, we bet you'll find it hard to tear yourself away – but if you do, there's plenty nearby to tempt you.

It's just a short walk down to Camps Bay beach, so spend the afternoon lounging in the sand and swimming in the Atlantic. The waterfront promenade is lined with shops, restaurants and lively bars – ideal for anything from a quick bite to eat to a night on the town. Fancy some hiking? Head to Table Mountain National Park, where trails for every level of hiker lead through the mountains.

Tropical Arcadia

A stunning view is best enjoyed from a stunning terrace, and the one belonging to this ocean-view home doesn't disappoint. With glass balustrades so nothing gets in the way of your vista, it's the showstopper at this place near Robyn's Beach but it's far from the only thing we love about it. There's a superb private pool too, and a state-of-the-art home cinema system so you can screen some of your favourites in comfort.

Inside, this stylish home is all about bright whites and contemporary furnishings – think glossy kitchen units, a striking modern dining table and a big leather sofa. The open layout in the living space makes it perfect for socialising and a wall of sliding patio doors opens it up to the magnificent terrace, where you'll find a barbecue, an outdoor dining table and comfy seating – not to mention sea views you may find it hard to drag yourself away from.

From here it's just a short walk or drive to the rocky coast, Beta Beach or Camps Bay Tidal Pool, or head just a little further to the superb, sandy Camps Bay Beach. Table Mountain and the city centre are within easy reach by car too.

Dance with the Ocean

Modern, comfortable and super stylish, this home couldn't be in a more convenient spot for exploring Cape Town's most exciting attractions. Just a short stroll from Mouille Point Beach and with the Sea Point Promenade, the golf club, Cape Town Stadium and the V&A Waterfront all within striking distance, it's a perfect spot if you want to be at the heart of things – even the city centre is just a few minutes away by car.

Inside, it's been designed with great attention to detail, with a sociable flow to the living space and a striking section of wood panelling creating a focal point. There are two seating areas, a desk for any remote working you'll be doing and an excellent kitchen and dining space. While two bedrooms and two bathrooms make it perfect for a small family or friends sharing. With shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, you won't have to go far for fun.

Gingko & Gazania

Nestled in the heart of trendy Mouille Point, this practical South African apartment is ideal for couples looking to unwind on Cape Towns’ stunning Atlantic shore. What this home lacks in unique design details, it more than makes up for in stunning ocean vistas, which you can soak up from almost every room in the house. Wake up to the soothing sound of waves lapping against the shore, then grab a seat at the dining table and gaze out at the glistening water as you tuck into a delicious home-cooked breakfast.

Perched on the edge of the V&A Waterfront, this place is perfectly positioned for exploring all that northern Cape Town has to offer. Just a stone's throw from the V&A Waterfront, there's plenty to explore around this sleek apartment. You've got bustling Green Point and its array of lively nightlife, delicious restaurants and cute coffee shops within easy reach. Then there's the aquarium and museums right by the seaside, as well as breathtaking views of the Atlantic and Table Mountain from the top of Signal Hill. And with the buzz of Cape Town's City Centre also close by, we can't think of a more central spot.

Adventures may be right on your doorstep, but you'll need a cool and contemporary place to return to after a long afternoon on your feet. This apartment is the ideal antidote – picture breezy living spaces, stylish bedrooms and a glossy kitchen that makes self-catering a dream. There's also a balcony where you can catch the last of the evening rays – although it overlooks the hustle and bustle of the street, we still think it's an excellent spot to share a bottle of South African Pinotage as you plan tomorrow's itinerary. You'll also find a communal pool on-site, perfect for a quick morning swim before heading out for the day.
