Upon arrival, wander along the pathway through the gardens until you reach the private gated area. From here you'll have your own secluded slice of nature to enjoy in peaceful serenity. 

Listen to the trickling stream with a cup of coffee in hand, or surround yourself with views of verdant greens and ocean blues on the elevated viewing platform. The south-facing terrace area is a lovely little sun trap and makes for an idyllic reading or sunbathing spot for ever-craved lazy days soaking up some vitamin D. On chillier days curl up in front of the wood burner fire with your favourite Netflix show playing in the background. 

Carbis bay beach is just a fifteen-minute walk away down the hill where you can go swimming in its shallow crystal clear waters. Continue your walk a little further to the popular resort town of St Ives, reachable in thirty-five minutes (or eight minutes by car or bus). With the Tate, Barbara Hepworth Museum, lots of beautiful beaches great for swimming or surfing, as well as an array of independent shops, restaurants and cafes – this home is sure to fulfil the needs of surfers. walkers, swimmers, cyclists and art lovers.

The open-plan living room features a comfortable corner sofa that you can stretch out on with the French doors flung open and enjoy alfresco breakfasts out on the balcony. Elsewhere, the master bedroom boasts an en-suite, plus its own set of large French doors that frame those picture-perfect views and open up to you can enjoy that fresh early morning sea breeze from the sanctuary of your bedroom. At the front of the building, a communal garden is perfect for casual picnic lunches. Then, a few minutes' walk away, hop on board the train for the short scenic journey to St Ives. With glorious views of St Ives, as pretty as the coastal paintings this artistic town is known for – you won't want to leave this amazing Edwardian townhouse. Situated in a private terrace, with no passing traffic, take in the turquoise ocean vistas from the beautiful, sunny terrace, surrounded by pink hydrangeas, with a glass of Cornish fizz. Or head inside, where you'll be greeted with large bay windows – admire the town, harbour and the sparkling sea from here. Our favourite spot has to be the plush velvet window seat in the bedroom. With two living areas and several outdoor spaces, this home is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to spread out. To top it all, there's parking for up to two cars, which is a rare bonus in St. Ives.

The vibrant town centre is a five-minute walk, where you'll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. It's the same walking distance to Porthminster Beach, one of St Ives's six beaches – the others are Porthgwidden, Harbour, Porthmeor, Lambeth Walk and Bamaluz – so you're spoilt for choice. For art lovers, the Barbara Hepworth Museum is a seven-minute saunter, while the Tate St Ives is eleven minutes on foot.

Recently renovated to the highest of standards in 2021, this architectural masterpiece is a picture of solid slatted wood, glass and white stone. The home is set within a sought-after postcode, only ten minutes (on foot) from the stunning Carbis Bay Beach – it's well worth a visit here – we couldn't believe we were still in the UK with its glorious stretch of sand and turquoise waters. Back inside, the living space is as light and airy as possible with high-vaulted ceilings, crittall windows and an abundance of skylights overhead. We adored the sleek three-oven island kitchen, benefitting from navy blue cabinets, chic chandeliers, dramatic spotlighting and a sociable breakfast bar to sit down and enjoy your morning avos on toast. You'll notice the crushed velvet dining chairs and sofa that only adds further to this home's impressive level of luxury and comfort. On top of all of that, there's the ease of having four bedrooms accompanied by four swanky en-suite bathrooms and a delightful garden  – complete with comfy outdoor seating for all eight guests, a paved veranda dining area and a cool-chill out spot to drink your alfresco wine. Inside and out, this spot presents Cornwall in spectacular fashion.

This elevated cottage offers breathtaking views of Carbis Bay, Godrevy lighthouse, and the North Cornwall coastline that will leave you speechless for days. This home has a rustic feel to it, with reclaimed local stone and natural cedar cladding that blends seamlessly. Open the panoramic windows and make your way down to the south-facing garden for a cup of coffee and fresh air while the kids play on the grass. Returning inside, you'll notice that the living room is flooded with natural light as you take a seat on the Tetrad Sofas and place your second coffee refill on the reclaimed oak coffee table. 

Carbis Bay is a charming seaside town known for its stunning stretch of white sand, turquoise waters, and sheltered conditions. Sunbathe on the beach before indulging in some local fish and chips, or if you're feeling more athletic, go kayaking. Take the twenty-nine-minute walk to St Ives Farmers Market, which is held at The Guildhall every Thursday until 2 p.m. throughout the year. If you appreciate art, visit the Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ives before wandering through the cobbled streets of a traditional seaside town to reach the lighthouse.

The annexe offers a small gravel courtyard at the back of the home which is ideal for sun-soaked mornings enjoying a leisurely breakfast alfresco, or an afternoon tea with fresh Cornish cream, jam and scones. 

Wander Carbis Bay’s crescent of white sands and turquoise waters or go on a water adventure and grab a paddleboard or kayak from the beach-based surf school. For beautiful walks, we can highly recommend the coast path from here to St Ives, which showcases spectacular views over the bay, and the 1.9km walk has a gentle ascent meaning the whole family can enjoy the scenery and bracing sea air. Or, if that sounds like too much for you, the single-track railway of the St Erth line follows that same path along the coast offering passengers an incredible vantage point to see all of St Ives Bay and beyond.  

After a busy day, the home’s open-plan living space will provide you with a comfortable sofa to unwind from your beach days, while the dining area beckons you to share meals and discuss your plans for the following day over a delicious dinner.

After a restful slumber, make yourself comfortable on the plump sofa and watch the waves roll in through the floor-to-ceiling bay window. 

On warm afternoons, take the five-minute walk into the heart of St Ives for a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes, ice cream parlours and restaurants. Admire modern British art in the Tate Gallery, ten minutes away, before enjoying a portion of fish and chips by the harbour. When the day draws to a close, head back home to watch the sky turn violet above the turquoise sea.

Even though this home is only five minutes' walk from the golden sands of Cardis Bay, there's a heated swimming pool so you can take a dip without having to leave the address. Running alongside, there are loungers for catching some rays as well as a small outhouse with room for storing surfboards and beach equipment, plus a shower for washing off sand and sea salt from your skin. When the sun begins its final descent, head over to the verandah — a recent extension to the 1930s house — where a large alfresco table, barbecue and outdoor heating will see you through long summer evenings. You might have noticed that we're full of lovely words and we've not even touched upon what's inside the home yet. Rest assured, it's just as impressive as what lies outside. The original large rooms and bay windows add a sense of airy brightness, but a recent renovation has brought a contemporary interior with an especially modern kitchen. As well as the nearby seaside, the South West Coast Path lies four minutes on foot from the front door and Tate St Ives is eleven minutes away in the car.

Sea Salt Curls

With two living spaces, three dining areas, a sprawling garden and a bright conservatory that comfortably seats the entire group, this traditional farmhouse and self-contained annexe is the perfect coastal retreat for friendly get-togethers and extended families. 

Days begin at the sunny breakfast table, where vaulted ceilings and large skylights create a bright area to enjoy your toast and jam while hatching a plan. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing a hearty meal later in the day. For now, spill out into the garden for your morning constitutional and cup of fresh coffee. 

And once you're ready and raring to hit the Cornish shores, pack your seaside essentials and head to beautiful Carbis Bay for sandy beaches and shallow waters, just a five-minute drive away or twenty-seven minutes on foot. A great family beach, there's a host of activities to try from surfing to rock climbing. When you've worked up an appetite, we recommend hopping on the small train to St Ives for picturesque views and great restaurants. 

Back home, end the day with a couple of drinks in the cosy conservatory, complete with comfortable sofas, stone walls and tiled flooring. On chilly evenings, warm up by the wood-burning stove in the cosy living room, before heading upstairs for a restful night's sleep in one of the charming bedrooms.
