This spacious apartment sits just two miles from the picturesque coastal village of Southwold. While the town will be your one-stop shop for traditional English delights like fish and chips, followed by a walk along the pier, the home will be your serene base for relaxing after a long day taking in the sea air. The interiors are bright and airy, just like the surrounding coast and countryside, with a homely atmosphere created by soft furnishings like the plump sofas in the lounge. Wooden accents bring an organic feel indoors, which is further accentuated by all the outdoor space you have access to. From the living room, step out through double French doors leading to your own private patio. Beyond this, a lush green lawn where you can let the kids run wild, or set up a quiet afternoon picnic. A pot of Earl Grey tea and cucumber sandwiches are a must – it's pretty thirsty work trying out all the local walks. Don’t miss the glorious Suffolk Heaths, just a forty-minute drive from home, or a fifteen-minute stroll to the River Blyth.

Step through the bi-fold doors onto the sunny deck and Mediterranean-style garden and enjoy evenings gathered around the rustic fire pit. There's also a rear garden with a lush lawn, perfect for outdoor games and fun. Inside, there's plenty of room for your family or friends to spread out in the huge, light-filled, open plan living space – it's perfect for socialising. We love the sea views from the bedrooms too.

You and your guests will be staying in the picturesque village of Walberswick. Spend your morning on the beach just over 300 yards from this home, then grab a bite to eat at the pub 50 yards away, or make your way to Southwold just across the river for a wider selection of restaurants and shops. You can take the small ferry boat to Southwold (summer season only) or there is the footbridge to take you across. This home's proximity to the sea makes it an excellent choice for a seaside getaway.

First, you’ll be greeted by the cheerful and rustic exterior, set against the greenery of the garden. Step inside to discover a warm and inviting interior, with wooden floors, plush furnishings and a fireplace for those leisurely evenings of movies and conversations with your loved ones. 

When it comes to communal feasts, this home has you covered too – put together delicious meals in the sparkling kitchen and share them at the handsomely crafted dining table. On balmy summer evenings, you’ll be able to gather everyone outside in the garden and enjoy barbecue suppers and drinks under the stars. 

For a night of sweet dreams and restful sleep, head over to the comfy bedrooms. You’ll wake up reinvigorated and ready for another day of coastal adventures. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll find yourself close to the many picturesque hiking trails, as well as the many attractions of the village and the nearby Southwold.

Twenty minutes on foot from the pristine sands of Walberswick Beach, this cottage-like home sits proudly at the end of a quaint row of village houses. Its standout exterior makes it unique on this street. The tasteful, pale-grey slatted wood is reminiscent of an exotic beachside retreat, but white detailing on the pointed roof and oriel windows give the home Nordic character. Inside, original beams support the sloped ceilings, bringing a rustic vibe. But yet again, there are surprisingly unique and modern features. We love the decorative white fireplace, stylish cushioned window seat, and the incredible upstairs bathroom – an enormous glass shower built into the arch of the roof. Further delights can be found outside. From one of the bedrooms, there’s a cute paved courtyard with a dining set (the perfect spot for sipping Earl Grey in the morning). On the other side, find a lush lawn, enclosed by leafy trees, which feels so secluded and private that you’ll forget that you’re in a village. To explore a busier side to the area, head fifteen minutes by car to Southwold for a walk along the pier and a portion of fish and chips.

It's easy to see the draw of this period home located in the picturesque fishing village of Walberswick, just across the harbour from Southwold. From nearly every stylish room, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the sea.

An excellent choice for a family seaside getaway, you're just a short walk from the beach for mornings of sandcastle building and kite flying. When tummies start to grumble, the village tearoom is a delight, or for something a little heartier, dive into one of the two charming pubs or walk over to Southwold via the footbridge for a fish and chip lunch.

Back at home, this period property may have old bones, but inside, everywhere feels refreshingly contemporary and playful, with vibrant textiles and intriguing artwork add layers of interest and style. And you can expect to do some entertaining here with that atmospheric dining room for long, sit-down meals in winter months and outside, a covered three-sided dining barn space with long summer night barbecues written all over it. The large garden is great for letting your imagination run wild, where lawn games and picnics are perfect. We love noisy dinners in the separate dining room, but if the pub is on the cards, classic boozer Anchor is stumbling distance from the home.

It's hard to beat a stay in a traditional cottage, especially when you're just a short walk from the water. This cosy home is the perfect choice for a coastal retreat where you'll experience rural life in a historic fishing village and unwind in a homely and welcoming space with sea views from each bedroom. When you're not exploring the quaint pubs and shops in Walberswick and taking part in the annual crabbing competition, you’ll be yomping through the unspoilt woods and wetlands of RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve or frolicking on The Denes Beach, both a twenty-minute drive away. 

Inside the abode, the bright conservatory is the perfect place to entertain family and friends, while the cosy living room with wood-burning stove is ideal for those chillier days. When the sun is shining, spill out through the patio for picnics on the lawn and if you’re in need of some serious relaxation, what better place to unwind than the private sauna in the garden’s summerhouse.

You'll first be welcomed by the beautiful front facade of the home, fringed with well-kept shrubs and luscious green ivy graciously climbing the wall. Upon entering, the bright and airy vibe will have you feeling refreshed and ready to kick back in the home's comfy interiors. We love the cosy setting of the living room – here you'll find a traditional style fireplace and ambient lighting alongside a relaxing cream colour palette. 

Combining modern designs with antique furniture pieces, soft materials create a soothing atmosphere and blissful comfort to curl up in after days spent hiking, cycling or simply days spent wandering around the nearby coastal villages. 

To the rear of the home, there is a summer house (where you'll find the charcoal barbecue) as well as an annexe space, which has a separate entrance from the garden, its own living room and twin beds. 

With a games room featuring a ping pong table, as well as a large green lawn – perfect for garden games, there's plenty to keep you occupied at this countryside retreat. However, when you are ready to go out and explore the local area, the village of Walberswick boasts an excellent array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Meanwhile, Southwold is just a short walk away, famed for its pier, lighthouse, pastel-coloured beach huts and delicious seafood

Brimming with natural light and colourful charm, this holiday home is ideal for family get-togethers or gatherings of treasured friends. If venturing out, you’ll find a shop and a deli right on your doorstep, and the nearest pub is a seven-minute walk away. Walk for ten minutes and you’ll find yourself among the sand dunes of Walberswick Beach. During the summer months, you can take a ferry to the famous seaside town of Southwold (a footbridge is available the rest of the year). For longer excursions, we recommend exploring the scenic Suffolk Coast Path.

Perfect for alfresco dining by day and a cheeky cocktail by night, the gorgeous garden features the ultimate hidden hideaway – a festoon light-strewn nook nestled among the shrubs. Additionally, as the nights draw in, however you’re looking to relax, this home has you covered – sit in the bay window in the living room and get stuck into a good book, cosy up on the sofa in front of the fire, or enjoy a good natter over a cup of tea and a game of cards at the kitchen table by the wood burning stove.

For those in need of a smidgin more stimulation, this home’s privileged location is ideally suited for little legs as well as four-legged friends, a stone’s throw from crabbing bridges and the beautiful beach. Southwold is a fifteen-minute drive or bike ride away, where you can wander along the shore, visit the arcade or explore the charming town.
