Take in the vistas from the pool and terraced gardens – there’s also a large outdoor dining space, a barbecue and an enclosed outdoor kitchen with a wood-burning oven. Both apartments, one on the ground floor and the second on the first floor, have a cosy living room, a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen and access to a terrace. Also, the third bedroom in each of the homes has a sofa bed. Well-placed for sightseeing, this place is 2 kilometres from Sant'Agata sui Due Golf and just over 10 kilometres from Sorrento and the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

It’s an old farmhouse that’s been converted into a beautiful holiday home, equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing break. With far-reaching views of the Bay of Nerano and the Amalfi Coast, it’s not hard to see why this home made it into our collection. Spread across three levels, there’s plenty of space for a large family or group of friends to spread out and enjoy some private time here. Locally, Nerano Bay is a short walk away if you fancy a splash in the sea, and the nearby town of Massa Lubrense is well worth a visit for some authentic cuisine.

Perched on a hill overlooking the Bay of Naples, this home is truly lovely. Spread over three floors, with a living room, kitchen, bedrooms and at least one bathroom on each floor, it’s an ideal base for a few families to share. Everyone can enjoy their own space and still gather together easily. 

We love the outside space here, whether it’s the sunny private swimming pool and the sun loungers alongside it, or the balconies. You can prepare your breakfast and morning coffee and take it outside to enjoy in the sunshine, all the while drinking in those marvellous views. You can always find a spot in the shade too, ideal for the afternoon when the Italian sun is beating down on the tiles.

Inside, you can enjoy the view from the living rooms and kitchens too. Windows are a big part of the traditional decor here, so if you need to take a break from the sun you won’t miss out. The bedrooms are elegant and pretty, with something to love about each room. Will you go for the four-poster bed and make the most of having your own piano? This villa is situated 850 metres from the pebbly beach of Marina del Cantone on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. You’ll find restaurants nearby too, while the town of Nerano is 1 kilometre from this home. A little further afield, Sorrento is 9 kilometres and Amalfi is 38 kilometres away. Or spend your days relaxing in the private swimming pool with its hydro massage jets – we love the sea views from here. You can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea vistas from the upstairs bedrooms too. There’s a pizza oven as well, for authentic pizzas, if you don’t feel like eating out.

We don’t believe in waking up early on holiday - give us a lie in and breakfast in bed any day. But we might just make an exception at The Ocean Fern. You’ll have a private pool to splash about in and a terrace that’s ideal for alfresco dining. You won’t be able to tear your eyes from the sea views.

It's worth noting you will need a car to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to Nerano Bay and Massa Lubrense.

You don’t need to drive far to reach the beach of Marina del Cantone. That said, you might find yourselves content to spend all of your time at the villa. You’ll have stunning sea views to admire, whether you’re dining alfresco on the patio or swimming in the private pool. The main bedroom opens onto a balcony with views of Galli Island – what a perfect spot for your morning coffee. 

Nerano Noon

Just outside of the charming village of Nerano, this exquisite villa offers incredible views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. A stone’s throw from rows of authentic seafood restaurants and a pretty pebble beach, a great time can be had close to home, but we recommend renting a car so you can enjoy day drips to Massa Lubrenese and Sorrento. The villa itself boasts several terraces and balconies, so you can take in the mountainscapes from several spots, from the balcony to the luxurious Jacuzzi. There’s even an outdoor gym if you’re keen on keeping up the fitness routine, and a kidney-shaped pool in the garden.

With stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, this studio-style apartment has a wonderful setting. We love the private terrace here – it’s the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The interiors have a minimalist design, and the bathroom is modern and sleek with a walk-in chromotherapy rain shower and a bathtub. Set in San Montano, you’ll find a variety of shops and trattorias nearby, while Puolo Bay, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and picturesque coastline, is just under 3 kilometres away. Other attractions within an easy drive include the historic town of Sorrento, just over 5 kilometres from this home.

Location-wise, you're in the heart of Sorrento, just a short walk from the beach. You'll also be within easy reach of the port, with restaurants and bars on your doorstep – handy, as this pad doesn't come with a kitchen. The interiors are a little basic for our liking, but it's modern and there's a dedicated workspace. Plus, the freestanding tub is the perfect place to relax after busy days spent travelling.

You can sit back and relax on the private terrace and there’s plenty of space inside to socialise and stretch out. Outside, you can stroll to restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s also a great base for exploring nearby Pompeii and the Amalfi coast.

In the heart of Sorrento, this apartment is perfectly positioned to explore the Amalfi Coast. Shops, restaurants, beaches, and the famous Piazza Tasso are all within easy strolling distance. However, with a sprawling roof terrace back home and sweeping views of the Gulf of Naples, it may be hard to pull yourself away. Everyone will adore the plunge pool (though it's only open seasonally), while the panoramic seating areas are perfect for sundowners. The interiors may be a bit dated, but this home has plenty of space inside and out for coastal relaxation.

Central, contemporary, and comfortable – this Sorrento apartment more than fits the bill. It's situated in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the coast, Piazza Tasso, and the city's bustling shops and eateries. Exploring on foot is a breeze here – a good thing, too, as parking isn't provided. As for the design back home, it has everything you'd want for a city break. There's a sleek (albeit somewhat small) kitchen, a modern living area with a sofa bed for the fifth guest, and a duo of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Come in to cook up some delicious Italian scrambled eggs, and eat together at your kitchen dining table. Head out to explore the restaurants and bars in the town, as well as the stunning beaches located just a short stroll away. Taking inspiration from Sorrento's nearby harbour and rocky beach, the design of this second-floor apartment is as bright and cheery as the surrounding neighbourhood. There's no doubt it's stylish, but it's also packed with modern amenities that make your stay a dream, from rainfall showers to a kitchen where you'll love rustling up Italian feasts. We adore the quirky touches here, too – our favourite is the stone wall in the shower, which uses the rocky facade of the mountain. 

Did we mention the two sun-kissed balconies? Both offer excellent spots to breathe in the coastal breezes and bask in Sorrento's good weather. Whether you're dining alfresco under the shady parasol or sharing a bottle of Italian wine on the outdoor sofas, this is the place to sit back, relax and fall in love with Sorrento.

Location-wise, you can't do much better. Beaches, eateries and shops are all just steps away. Take a stroll along the postcard-pretty marina in the mornings, followed by lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Do some sightseeing in the historic centre in the afternoons, including a wander around Piazza Tasso and a stop off at the Cattedrale dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo. You're also about an hour or so drive from Naples and Pompeii – perfect for day trips.
