The moment you step out onto the patio and see the breathtaking, panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, you’ll not be able to comprehend how it can get any better, but just wait until you take the stairs up onto the sun terrace. This contemporary villa also features some luxurious touches that are rare to find in smaller homes, such as the stunning private pool and fabulous outdoor kitchen, which mean you can spend lots of time outside in the Sicilian sunshine.

We recommend you spend sunny mornings out on your alfresco dining table, tucking into a delicious Italian breakfast of churros and coffee while you discuss the daily itinerary. As the heat rises, cool off with a dip in your sparkling swimming pool, before retiring to a sun lounger for a lovely rest with a good book. Take the short walk over to the beach for sea swimming and sunbathing, or visit a nearby restaurant to find delicious pasta and pizza. The practical interiors could be more impressive – and two guests will sleep on the sofa bed – but the area, views, and sun-kissed outdoor spaces make it a good choice.

They say good things come in threes, and these villas won't disappoint. Great for multiple families or large friend groups, this trio of homes are right by the Ionian Sea. You'll have your pick of rooftop terraces to watch the sunset and private pools to splash about in (though it's worth noting that not all the pools are open throughout the year). We recommend hiring a car here if you're hoping to pay a visit to Noto or Marzamemi or spots like Mount Etna or the Vendicari nature reserve.

The Blue Rose

You're not seeing double. This home is made up of two neighbouring villas on the same estate. You'll have two of everything here – two private pools (though only one of these is open all year round), two gardens, and two rooftop terraces with sea views where you can watch the sunset. We think it's excellent for separate families or large friend groups craving independent spaces. You'll want a car here, as the baroque towns of Syracuse, Ragusa and Noto are within driving distance. Meanwhile, beach days are at your fingertips with the nearest sandy shore just 300 metres away.

Meanwhile, the main living areas present several different sociable spaces to relax amidst the stylish design work. Admire the exuberant display of artworks, tasteful choices in wallpaper and an enormous collection of books in the home library – a literature lover's dream. High-quality fixtures and furnishings grant a comfortable stay whether you're based in the main house or the pool house. If you're staying in the pool house, you'll find that it is totally self-contained, with its own kitchen, dining area, lounge, double bedroom and bathroom and even a private rooftop terrace too. 

The outdoor spaces include a large swimming pool and a large roof terrace with a relaxation corner, dining area and barbecue in the main garden area. As well as a rooftop terrace boasting an open-air kitchen and dining area which provides a stunning vantage point for views of the bucolic landscape. Get the grill going and serve up a dreamy Italian spread featuring barbecued meats and fish from the local farmer's market, paired with Italian wine (of course) while you take in the stunning vistas as the sun goes down over the horizon in the distance. Our favourite beach, San Lorenzo, is a nineteen-minute walk, or you can nip there in two minutes in the car. Spend the afternoon in Marzamemi, where you can stroll along the cobbled streets and treat yourself to some fresh seafood for lunch – there’s no shortage of picture-perfect eateries along the attractive harbour. 

You have a tough decision to make in the evening – do you watch the sunset from the roof terrace or from the hot tub in the pool? Wherever you choose to enjoy it, make sure you do so with a glass of local wine. Absolute bliss.

Outside, there's heaps of space for little ones to run about the well-manicured gardens, a private swimming pool with a shallow area that's perfect for younger children, and an outdoor kitchen prime for easy barbecue mealtimes. Ready to set off exploring Sicily? All the hotspots, including Noto, Syracuse, Taormina, and Mount Etna's Park, are within easy reach of the home.

The Mariachi

This stunning home tucked away on Southern Italy’s coastline offers a perfect slice of Sicilian paradise. If you do manage to tear yourself away, head on out to the historic city of Syracuse, just ten minutes away by car, to sample local delicacies and sumptuous Sicilian wines, and shop for souvenirs of your time on this spectacular island. We highly recommend sampling some of the local seafood at one of the nearby restaurants, which is out of this world. With more to see than one getaway could fit in, we are sure you will never want to leave the island.



Casa Isola

Just minutes from the nearest sandy beach, this villa boasts views of the Ionian sea, its own private pool, and two terraces. With some small steps up to the pool and main terrace, it may not be suitable for all guests with limited mobility. But the flexible sleeping arrangement and provided cot and high chair mean it's great for families or friend groups travelling together.  We recommend hiring a car for visiting Marzamemi and the Taormina nature reserve, as well as popular Sicilian spots like Noto.

The Royal Cottage

A stone's throw from Agua Beach, this villa is situated in a seafront complex near sandy bars and eateries. The close proximity to the neighbouring homes may not suit private types but if you’re staying as a larger group, all three properties can be rented together. The outdoor living space promises peaceful views, a private pool, and relaxing seating spots, though one of the bedrooms can only be accessed from the terrace.
