This charming apartment is located in perfect tranquillity inside a converted ancient palace, where the environment has been impeccably refurbished whilst respecting the original structure. We love how much greenery surrounds this home, and how it can make you appreciate the simple things in life as you take a long walk through the flora, breathing in the fresh air and listening to the bird's chirp. The wooden beams definitely give this home the character it deserves, as do the shutters that can be opened to let in light as you gaze out over the trees of an ancient noble villa.
 
When you want to be a part of the city's hustle and bustle, take the sixteen-minute drive to Lucca and bike along the city walls, losing yourself in the history of what would've been, before indulging in some retail therapy in the Old Town. Admire Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a magnificent square constructed on the ruins of the ancient Roman amphitheatre that spreads a mix of historical beauty and true Italian flavour – stop for a bite to eat in the courtyard with innumerable cafes and restaurants.

Opulence is the name of the game here, and we were immediately seduced by this home’s charm. Firstly, its setting is truly idyllic, with stunning vistas of rolling green hills, punctuated by dark and majestic cypress trees. Evenings are particularly enchanting, and you’ll no doubt find yourself organising elegant suppers and aperitivos, with the glow of the setting sun as your backdrop. The covered, outdoor dining area invites those communal feasts, with the laid-back, dolce-far-niente vibe. In the heat of the afternoon sun, you can cool yourself in the lovely swimming pool, and work on your tan on one of the sun loungers dotted around. 

The inside of the villa is a stunning mélange of classic Italian style with modern comfort. We love the incredible attention to detail with which the interior has been decorated, and you’ll find yourself wandering around these rooms, admiring the art and the unique pieces scattered about. We’re sure you’ll love the location here. It’s situated between the vibrant Piazza San Michele and the Via Fillungo, so you’ll have plenty of boutiques and restaurants on your doorstep.
