Beneath its exposed beam ceilings dotted with skylights, you'll find comfortable contemporary furnishings, antique decor and elaborate Renaissance-style touches, all bathed in golden Tuscan sunlight. We loved the elevated shower cubicle behind the bed, though we recognise it won't appeal to everyone. 

Step out, and you'll find yourself within the ancient city walls, which enclose charming streets lined with medieval buildings, quaint shops, and delicious restaurants. Enjoy leisurely strolls along the top of the walls, which offer stunning views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The city's main square, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, is a must-see and just a few hundred metres away. Additionally, the Basilica di San Frediano, the Cathedral of San Martino, and the Guinigi Tower are all shining examples of its awe-inspiring architecture.

Boasting stunning views of the town's historic rooftops and medieval towers, this two-level apartment is the ideal Lucca retreat. It’s light and airy with lots of character features, but we should probably mention that the bathroom is a bit dated. And although there’s a lift here there’s still a flight of stairs to climb. We’re sure you’ll love the location here. It’s situated between the vibrant Piazza San Michele and the Via Fillungo, so you’ll have plenty of boutiques and restaurants on your doorstep.

Just a short drive from Lucca, this traditional farmhouse opens its doors to the simple pleasures of Italian living. Consisting of a main house and an adjoining hayloft (with its own kitchen), this is a great option for groups in search of peace, privacy and a beautiful setting. Firstly, its setting is truly idyllic, with stunning vistas of rolling green hills, punctuated by dark and majestic cypress trees. Evenings are particularly enchanting, and you’ll no doubt find yourself organising elegant suppers and aperitivos, with the glow of the setting sun as your backdrop. The covered, outdoor dining area invites those communal feasts, with the laid-back, dolce-far-niente vibe. In the heat of the afternoon sun, you can cool yourself in the lovely swimming pool, and work on your tan on one of the sun loungers dotted around. 

The inside of the villa is a stunning mélange of classic Italian style with modern comfort. We love the incredible attention to detail with which the interior has been decorated, and you’ll find yourself wandering around these rooms, admiring the art and the unique pieces scattered about.
